You have a soft spot for quality and safety in the field of (specialist) welding. Over the past 5 to 10 years you have gained extensive experience in a Welding Responsible Quality Control role or similar role in the onshore and offshore sector. You have excellent knowledge in the field of safety requirements and protocols. You have extensive experience in coordinating welding activities at various locations under a variety of conditions. It is a matter of course for you to coordinate daily with the relevant colleagues so that quality requirements are guaranteed throughout the project. Who we are:

We are Multimetaal – a renowned manufacturer and supplier of high-quality service equipment in the onshore and offshore industry. You will find us on platforms and large constructions, but also in large lifting projects and work on pressure pipes, control valves and shut-off valves. We provide high-quality assembly and maintenance services and also produce custom metal constructions in our large production hall in Den Helder. Worldwide, a transition from fossil fuels to other energy sources is taking place on a large scale. Originally we were experts in the oil and gas industry, but our course is moving with the times. That is why we are responding to this positive change by expanding our knowledge and work in the coming years into sustainable energy and maritime segments.

What you will do:

  • Manage and maintain EN-ISO-3834 and En-1090;
  • Be responsible for performing quality control on products and services;
  • Provide advice at the request/quotation stage and find out about the customer’s specification requirements for a project and indicate what the requirements are;
  • Train and make staff aware of welding procedures and quality topics;
  • Advise, inform, test and continuously improve the necessary procedures regarding quality together with the Qa;
  • Have a high level of awareness regarding HSE topics;
  • Regularly visit Multimetaal work sites;
  • Stop work when it is not performed in accordance with the technical specifications or when HSEQ standards are exceeded.

Your experience and knowledge corresponds to:

  • At least 5 years of work experience in a similar role in a similar industry;
  • Familiarity with the energy and/or maritime sector is a benefit;
  • Familiarity with international codes (AWS, ISO, EN, ASME, etc.);
  • Willingness to take courses in materials science;
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language;
  • Diplomas/certificates: IWT IWI-C or IWE, CSWIP3.1, /VTw-2.
